Infernal Guard - Chaos Dwarfs

The very first project when I joined the Forge World Design Studio in November 2010. I did some freelance work before where I always had a concept art to work from. At that time I had pretty much no experience in design work.

My first assignement was to do some Chaos Dwarf crews for their war machines. I asked if there was some art to work from. Well, there wasn't really and so I found myself jumping straight into design work which was completely new to me. Now some time has passed and I might be able to admit... Chaos Dwarfs weren't my favourites, but I was incredibly happy to have joined a creative place, where I really felt at home.

So I tried my best to get inspired. I worked closely with Alan Bligh on a different approach and he came up with the Infernal Guard. We tried to create the missing link between the Hellcannon Chaos Dwarf crew and the big hat classics.
