The V-26 Loki Tank of Valhǫl is a project I began back in 2021 or so. At that time, I had just picked up an Elegoo Mars, after working with a Solus 3D printer whose print bed was tiny by comparison.
The Elegoo felt enormous, and I figured it was the perfect moment to design a tank. If I remember correctly, it was also the first straight-line model I made. I was never especially skilled with plasticard like some of my former Forge World colleagues, but in ZBrush everything suddenly became possible.
The tank is almost a backdrop for the mini-diorama with the tank riders—just a bunch of lost guys, freezing and arguing about which way to go.
My friend Angel Giraldez who I met almost 20 years ago (might have been 2006 or so) at a small miniature convention in Paris painted it. Hard to believe but it s the first time he painted a tank! He does amazing tutorials on painting miniatures. Have a look on his YouTube channel!
Hope you like it!
